Abstract

The world has witnessed the spread of a C0VID-19, by the end of 2019, which affects the respiratory system of the body in the form of the novel coronavirus. The pandemic has affected people across all socioeconomic demographics and cultures in high, middle and low- income countries. Tobacco is also a major risk factor for diseases like cardiovascular disease, cancer, respiratory disease and diabetes which put people with these conditions at higher risk for developing severe illness when affected by COVID-19.
